A Visit to the Ecomuseum

  • John Caboto’s kindergarten enjoyed a visit to the Ecomuseum on April 22. They learned about the native species of the St Laurence River Valley. The “K’s” were amazed by the wolves, black bears, otters, owls etc. Seeing these animals in their habitat is far more exciting than seeing them in books. See photos...

John Caboto Academy Writing Contest

  • John Caboto Academy has always been deeply invested in literacy and in developing school pride. With this in mind, we saw an opportunity for real world writing by offering our students a mini writing contest, which entailed describing what makes them proud to be JCA students. The winner chosen from each grade had his/her write-up published in Montreal Families Magazine. All student entries are now posted on our website.

Alouettes Visit John Caboto Academy

  • The Montreal Alouettes visited John Caboto Academy on March 14th to promote their "Together at School" program. After the players spoke to the 3 cycles and kindergarten they played basketball against our teachers. The Alouette players told the teachers that they made them "work" in the game as usually most schools do not field such a strong team. The game was video taped by CTV Montreal and Randy Tieman showed a clip of it on the 6 o'clock news. Please visit our photo album under the Student Life section to see the pictures.
