Olympiades régionales
de la formation professionnelle Médaillés 2008
Three St. Pius X Culinary Institute students competed in the Olympiades régionales de la formation professionnelle Médaillés 2008. Nadia Corallo's winning dish received a Silver award in Professional Cooking. Steve Lavoie won Silver and Anouch Mansourian won Bronze in Restaurant Services. Alumni, Chefs Mario Navarette of Raza & Madre, Domenic Forte of Pasta Tutti Giorni and Tony Guilietti of Auberge Universelle were members of the jury.
2008 Culinary Olympics
Chef Otto Daniels is training Anouch Mansourian as his assistant for Team Quebec in the 2008 Culinary Olympics in Erfurt, Germany.
La Tablée des Chefs
Starting the week of March 12th, 2008, St. Pius X Culinary Institute, once again, participated in La Tablée des Chefs' annual food drive. Every year, La Tablée des Chefs coordinates the culinary efforts of Quebec cooking schools with donations from the food industry for distribution by Premiere Moison to community food banks. This year St. Pius X Culinary Institute prepared, cooked and packaged 5,000 portions.
