Support is provided by our resource teachers in both French and English to students who are experiencing learning difficulties in a particular area or who are considered to be at-risk learners. Resource may take place within the classroom setting and/or through pull-out model. Students benefiting from resource support have an I.E.P. (individualized educational plan) prepared for them, in order for students to reach their fullest potential at their own pace.
Extra support is provided for students in cycle 1 (grade 1 and 2) in particular, with emphasis on languages and literacy.
Bancroft school provides French language support for out-of-province students. Specialised tutors provide support to small groups of students and one-to-one learning sessions. This service is offered free of charge to eligible students.
Homework supervision is provided to elementary school students enrolled in the B.A.S.E. Daycare Program.
All students and families have access to free online learning tools which provides e-learning resources for reading and literacy, mathematics, languages, online tutoring and homework help for all grade levels. A username and password is provided by your child's teacher.
