Fundraisers
CTV Montreal’s Spirit of Giving
The “Spirit of Giving” is a fundraiser organized by CTV Montreal in conjunction with the English Montreal School
Board. The goal of the fundraiser is to collect non-perishable food items for six (6) charitable organizations
on the Island of Montreal.
Toy Tea
In 2003, for the first time, the English Montreal School Board was invited by Ginger Petty to participate in the
Toy Tea. The EMSB, through the spiritual care and guidance and community involvement service responded with
enthusiasm, with over twenty schools collecting toys and money for underprivileged children in shelters.
Montreal's Watching
In 2001, CTV Montreal started the CTV Community Action Project. This project was created to address the poverty
situation in Montreal. Recognizing that poverty is the most pressing problem in the Montreal area, CTV Montreal
was determined to get the message out creating a channel to facilitate the proceeds in which donors can
reach recipients.
