MONTREAL, FEBRUARY 11, 2013 – In keeping with the technological prowess that has become the defining mark of St. Dorothy Elementary School in St. Michel, students and teacher Sherron Anglin looked back at the very successful “I Love To Read Week,” by producing a stop-motion video highlighting the week that was.

The film, which is just over four minutes in length, features students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 6 and is set to the tune of Ocoee Middle School’s remix of the Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling” entitled “Gotta Keep Reading.”

The week itself began with Terry Saba, the EMSB’s English Language Arts consultant, reading Possumondus to the entire school in the gym. Other special guests included Emmanuel Dubourg, Member of the National Assembly for the riding of Viau; Rocco Barbieri, Commissioner for St. Dorothy; Anie Samson, Borough Mayor for Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension; Marisa Celli, the press attaché for Anie Samson; Susanne De Serres, author and musician as well as many parents, including former parent and writer Giovanna Lagana.

The innovative stop-motion film can be viewed here:
