MONTREAL, JUNE 21, 2013 – The summer is already off to a great start for Michelangelo International Elementary School in R.D.P. as the school was selected by the Quebec Recreational Soccer League as one of two beneficiaries from its annual golf tournament.

The tournament is set to take place on September 8 at Club de Golf de Verchères (250 Montée du Moulin, Verchères, QC).

“As we are now officially an IB World School, our share of the proceeds are going directly towards our IB program and the students at Michelangelo,” said Anna Della Rocca, Principal of Michelangelo Elementary School. “We are very grateful to the Quebec Recreational Soccer League for selecting our school as one of the beneficiaries of this tournament. Their support is invaluable.”

Avid golfers can register their teams for $160 per person by July 1. Registration includes green fees and a golf cart, breakfast, sandwiches, snacks and drinks during their round, dinner as well as the chance to win a number of prizes. Those not wishing to golf can join for dinner (6 p.m.) for $60.

The mission of the Quebec Recreational Soccer League is to use the sport as a tool for exercise, camaraderie and team spirit in a non-competitive environment.

Golfers are asked to be at the club at 9:30 for registration. Foursomes will begin to hit the links at 11:00.
