JOHN F. KENNEDY HIGH SCHOOL TO MARK THE 50th ANNIVERSAY OF FORMER US PRESIDENT`S DEATH

MONTREAL, NOVEMBER 12, 2013 – While 50 years has passed since the tragic assassination of American President John F. Kennedy,  the high school that bears his name in St. Michel (3030 Villeray) is set to honour his life and legacy on Wednesday, November 20 ( 2 p.m.).

Elected as the 35th President of the United States, Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963 in Dallas, Texas. His tragic death was mourned throughout the world and prompted the new high school in St. Michel, which opened in 1964, to bear his name.

The ceremony on November 20 will honour the life and legacy of John F. Kennedy through a series of videos and personal memories from administrators and staff who were alive when he was assassinated on November 22, 1963  riding in a motorcade cruising through  Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas.
