MONTREAL, NOVEMBER 4, 2002Ė From November 5 to 7, parents of Secondary III, IV and V students have been invited to visit Montrealís vocational education centres, providing them with the opportunity to become familiar with the programs of study available to their children and the facilities in which they are taught.

The English Montreal School Board (EMSB) invited parents to register for one of the available bus tours, enabling them to visit two vocational education centres in the same evening. This activity, which is part of Vocational and Technical Education Week, is aimed at promoting the many vocational education programs offered by the five Island of Montreal school boards. More than 300 programs are offered in 31 Montreal centres. These programs of study lead to careers with excellent employment opportunities.

Of the 600 parents who responded to the five Montreal-area school boards, 206 were from the EMSB. The schedule for EMSB centers this week is as follows:

  • Tuesday, November 5

  • Wednesday, November 6
