MONTREAL, †APRIL 7, †2008- †Best selling local young adult novelist Monique Polak will be conducting a creative writing workshop and discussion session on Friday, April 11 at the Junior Campus of LaurenHill Academy (2355 Decelles Street) in†† St. Laurent.

Three separate sessions will be taking place that day, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.,† and will be conducted with the schoolís Secondary II students, who are studying Ms. Polakís novels as part of their curriculum.

Ms. Polak, whose novels are very popular with teen readers, has just released her latest publication which, coincidentally, has LaurenHill students as its main characters. Entitled 121 Express (which is published by Orca Soundings Publishing Co.), the book centers around a group of LaurenHill students whose common bond is that they take the Montreal Transit Commission 121 express bus line, which actually runs along Cote Vertu Road, to and from school every day.††
