PRESS RELEASE

MONTREAL, APRIL 14,  2009 -    John Paul I Junior High School in St. Léonard (8455 Pre-Laurin)  has a special environmental project  planned for Thursday, April 16.  The musical group Baratanga will lead students through unique productions customized to their needs as they participate in a drum circle with recycled school materials and objects.

In  an effort to work  in harmony with a  neighbouring school,  students from    École St-Exupéry  have been invited to join and partake in this event.   “This opportunity will keep building positive relationships and respect for all involved,” says Principal Liboria Amato. “Our two schools are already discussing and sharing plans on the beautifying of the common school grounds.  We also intend to collaborate for Earth Day activities on April 22, representing  another opportunity to merge and share in positive team building amongst our students!”

 Baratanga will perform four shows in the gymnasium, at 8 a.m., 9:55 a.m., 1:15 p.m, and 1:45 p.m.
