MONTREAL, April 20, 2010 – More than 25 schools will benefit from $95,000 worth of audio/visual equipment which was recently donated by AVW-TELAV as a part of their ongoing commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.

Included in this donation to the English Montreal School Board were 34 overhead projectors, four slide projectors, two zoom lenses for slide projectors, 15 stage risers, 117 stage riser legs, 79 video and overhead carts, 12 cart skirtings, 15 VHS players, three DVD players, 21 televisions (26” and larger), 24 black drapes, 34 audio cassette player/recorders, 65 blank VHS tapes, 2253 blank audio cassette tapes and 10 slide projector bulbs.

The massive donation required three trucks and two personal cars to deliver to Westmount High School, from where it has been  divided up to individual schools. The unloading process was swift courtesy of a team of 19 strong men and women from TELAV  and Westmount High School .

“This equipment will go into 25 to 30 schools and benefit lots of students in many different subjects,” said EMSB Literacy Consultant Pau  Kettner. “This will be a big boost to so many programs and we are very grateful to AVW-TELAV for the generous donation.”

“We hope that this project will be the first of many projects where we can be of service to the faculty and students of the English Montreal School Board,” said Pamela Ongo, Materials management coordinator at the  AVW-TELAV Montreal Head Office.
