Welcome to Galileo Adult Education Centre. Your first steps towards success.

Galileo Adult Education Centre is a community based educational establishment situated in Montreal-North. As important partners in the life-long learning process, Galileo’s teachers uses a variety of teaching methods and offers appropriate materials to improve literacy and to introduce our students to life and work skills. 

While our staff will do everything to encourage learning, we expect our students to have a strong desire to succeed, to be responsible and to take an active part in their own learning.

Literacy  Basic English Program (CCBE)

Our Literacy courses are designed to allow students to learn the basic English language set by the CCBE (Common Core Basic Education) program of the Ministry of Education (MEESR). Students are interviewed at the time of registration and placed in homogeneous classes according to their abilities.

French Second Language

Our French classes are designed to allow students to learn the basic French language set by the CCBE (Common Core Basic Education) program of the Ministry of Education (MEESR). Students are interviewed at the time of registration and placed in homogeneous classes according to their abilities.

Academic Program (SSD)

Our Centre offers a complete range of traditionally taught and individualized academic courses leading to a Quebec Secondary School  Diploma (SSD). We also offer pre-requisite courses that students need in order to enroll in a vocational program or CEGEP.

Social Integration Services Program (SIS) for Adults with Special Needs 

We follow the Social Integration Services Program (SIS) set by the Ministry of Education (MEESR) which is designed for adults who experience difficulties of a psychological, intellectual, social or physical nature.
The program is distinctively designed to help the students acquire the necessary skills to be able to integrate and participate in society to their fullest potential.
