MONTREAL, JANUARY 31, 2012 – Schools across the English Montreal School Board (EMSB) will once again benefit from the Invessa Foundation’sFood for TotsCampaign, a unique fundraising effort which recruits sponsors to donate food and snacks to support special events and activities taking place at the schools.
Slated to participate in are: Pierre de Coubertin Elementary School in St. Léonard, Fraser Academy and Cedarcrest Elementary in St. Laurent, Carlyle Elementary School in Town of Mount Royal, St. Monica Elementary School in N.D.G., and Sinclair Laird Elementary School in Pak Extension.
Organized by Alessa Zaccagna and Andre Michalopoulos of the Invessa Foundation, contributors to the campaign include Quebec staples such as Pasta Tutti Giorni, Lesters Foods and La Belle Province.
“Our beliefs stem in social responsibility and giving back to the community,” said Mr. Michalopoulos. “It is with great pride that we are able to enhance the lives of children in this unique way. The Invessa Foundation’s vision is based on the philosophy that we all have the ability to reach out to the community and to make a difference.”
For the second consecutive year, the Invessa Foundation was also a proud partner in the annual EMSB/Generations Foundation Children’s Holiday Charity Event which took place in December at James Lying High School in St. Henri.
Food for Tots is also sponsoring EMSB advertisements in local newspapers.
