EMSB AND KIDS CAN PRESENT A FREE WORKSHOP: THE TEENAGE BRAIN AND DRUGS

MONTREAL, MARCH 19, 2012 – The English Montreal School Board in partnership with the Kids Can! Drug Awareness Program, a program of Agence Ometz, will present The Teenage Brain & Drugs, a free workshop for parents on adolescent brain development and drug use on Wednesday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Merton Elementary School (5554 Robinson) in Cote St. Luc.

Facilitated by a member of the Agence Ometz clinical services staff, the one-hour presentation will delve into the development of a teenage brain, and the short- and long-term effects of drug use and abuse.

The workshop will be followed by a question and answer period.

The Kids Can! Drug Awareness Programis currently being provided to all sixth grade students at Merton School. The free workshop will be followed by a question and answer period.
