MONTREAL, MAY 16, 2012 - In an effort to raise funds for the school, Westmount High School’s (4350 Ste. Catherine Street West) Parent’s Participation Organization will be hosting a “Family Fun Day” on Saturday June 9 from 11 a.m, to 4 p.m. The goal of this event is to raise over $1,000, with all proceeds going towards purchasing new equipment for the Science Department and aid in the cost for school activities.
The fundraiser will surround numerous activities such as a Jumble Sale, which will take place throughout the day. Parents and participants of the Westmount High School Community are welcome to rent tables at a cost of $10 per six foot table as a means to sell their unused items. By renting a table, individuals will have the opportunity to not only support this wonderful cause but also collect money for their unused items. They will also receive a chance to win a raffle prize as every table that is rented ensures a ticket at the penny fair. The fundraiser has also secured donations from wonderful sponsors such as the the Montreal Science Center, Bilboquet and Warshaws. There will also be numerous gift certificates from different individuals and stores that will be raffled off.
In addition to the Jumble Sale and Penny Fair, there will also be a BBQ taking place hosted by Principal Michael Cristofaro. There will be food, fun, and games for all participants and their families.
With the help of the Westmount High School Community, there is no doubt that this fundraiser can be a huge success. For more information on how to participate in Family Fun Day, call 514-933-2701.
