MONTREAL, SEPTEMBER 24, 2012 – As a way to express their gratitude to STM (Société de Transport de Montréal) employees, students from Marymount Academy in N.D.G. will be surprising them on Friday, October 5 from 11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Villa Maria Metro Station (Corner Decarie and Monkland) with coffee or hot chocolate and a flower during their break.
As Marymount Academy is located quite close to Villa Maria Metro Station, the vast majority of the students use public transportation to go to and from school on a daily basis. As such, on the Friday before Thanksgiving, students spearheaded this initiative in order to show their appreciation for the STM employees.
In addition to providing the refreshments, the school’s Jazz Band will be performing live as well.
While advance planning is necessary, the students and International Baccalaureate Coordinator Dr. Ramin Khodaie, hope that this will remain a surprise for the men and women of the STM.
