MONTREAL, OCTOBER 9, 2012 – Heidi Berger, an award-winning film producer and second generation Holocaust survivor, will continue to bring her mother’s message of hope and survival to English Montreal School Board high schools this year.
Through a 45-minute interactive video presentation, which is available in English and French, Berger chronicles her mother’s experiences during the Holocaust. Her presentation blends live video clips of her mother’s testimony to the Shoah Foundation and the Montreal Holocaust Museum, with explanations that tie it all together into a cohesive and compelling story. The presentation touches on academic and moral subjects, from history and current events, to bullying, tolerance, discrimnation, heroism and acts of kindness.
This powerful presentation is suitable for students in Grade 9 and older. After the presentation, there is a question and answer period.
