MONTREAL, NOVEMBER 23, 2012 – The Gerald McShane Community Learning Centre (CLC), along with Montreal Hooked on Schools, will host a Community Conversation on Monday, December 3 (5 p.m, to 8 p.m.) at the Maison Culturelle et Communautaire Grande Salle Commune #222 (12004, boul. Rolland) in Montreal North.
The main goal of the evening is to exchange ideas and action plans, reaffirm partnerships and socially interact with the community. Results compiled from this discussion will form the basis of a brief to be sent to the House of Commons as it ponders future funding for CLCs and their partners.
For individuals interested in attending this important dialogue, please contact Bobbie Variantzas’ CLC coordinator at Gerald McShane firstname.lastname@example.org
The objectives of CLCs are to deliver educational and support services in a seamless and integrated fashion, enable various agencies to pool resources and share the responsibility of service delivery, to nurture symbiotic relationships between schools and their communities and to rejuvenate the role and importance of the school and its services to communities.
