MONTREAL, NOVEMBER 11, 2013 – Inspirations Newspaper: a snapshot of our special needs community, is celebrating five years as the only newspaper focusing on the special needs communities of Greater Montreal, Laval, the South Shore and beyond, at a luncheon in the library at Marymount Academy (5100 Côte Saint-Luc Road) on Friday, November 15, 2013 (11:30 a.m.)
Sponsored by the English Montreal School Board, Inspirations is the hub of special needs news in the Greater Montreal and surrounding areas.
The luncheon, generously catered by Le Doral, Barefoot Wines, and Marymount Academy, will bring together supporters of this unique publication including educators, service providers, government officials and community members, who support Inspirations and have helped it grow into the vital community resource that it is today.
“In five years we have not only grown as a publication, but as a true service to the special needs community. We are proud to tell such uplifting stories,” says editor Michael J. Cohen, who created the newspaper in collaboration with EMSB Director of Studen Services Lew Lewis.
The event will include an award ceremony to honour the 2013 Dynamic Funds Teacher of Inspiration – Kaylie Bernert, from Ormstown Elementary School, New Frontiers School Board.
