|EMSB SCHOOLS TO PARTICIPATE IN TOY-TEA CHARITABLE PROGRAM WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 3|
MONTREAL, DECEMBER 1, 2003- The English Montreal School Board (EMSB) is playing an active role in the 12th annual Christmas and Chanukah Toy-Tea, which takes place on Wednesday, December 3 (10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) at Ogilvy’s Tudor Hall (1307 St. Catherine Street West).
Suzanne Tailleur-Tremblay, the wife of Montreal Mayor Gérald Tremblay, will preside over the event, which will include an Open House, a fashion show and school choir performances. EMSB students will be on hand at 1 p.m. to present the toys that they are donating to the cause. Mayor Tremblay is expected to arrive at that time as well. The Christmas and Chanukah Toy-Tea benefits 5,000 children of battered women, children with AIDS and other children’s charities in Montreal.
The participating EMSB schools at the Toy-Tea are: Dunrae Gardens in TMR; Parkdale in St. Laurent; Vincent Massey Collegiate, St. Brendan, Pierre Elliott Trudeau and Nesbitt in Rosemount; Roslyn in Westmount; Royal Vale in N.D.G; Laurier Macdonald, Dante and General Vanier in St. Léonard; St. Raphael, St. Pius X and John Caboto in Ahuntsic; Edward Murphy in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve; Lester B. Pearson in Montreal North; St. Dorothy in St. Michel; and Dalkeith in Anjou.
