MONTREAL, OCTOBER 7, 2015 – The political winds will blowing at Edinburgh Elementary School (500 Hudson) in Montreal West this week as James Hughes (NDP), Robert Libman (Conservative) and Marc Garneau (Liberal) sit down with students to hear their thoughts on the election and the issues.

Organized by Grade 6 teacher Jean-Michel Brunet as a part of a special election-related unit, students will hear from the candidates at the end of this week and then cast their ballots on Friday, October 16.

Edinburgh Elementary School is located in the riding of NDG-Westmount, on the border of the Mount Royal riding.

The political stumping will begin with NDP James Hughes (NDG-Westmount) on Wednesday, October 7 at 10 am, continue with Conservative Robert Libman (Mount Royal) on Thursday, October 8 at 10:00 am, and wrap up with Liberal Marc Garneau (NDG-Westmount) on Friday, October 9 at 9:30 am.

Also on October 9, Liberal candidate for Mount Royal, Anthony Housefather, is set to speak with students at Merton Elementary School (5554 Robinson) in Cote Saint Luc at 10:30 am.
