|VINCENT MASSEY STUDENTS SET TO REACH OUT TO ELEMENTARY STUDENTS|
MONTREAL, JANUARY 18, 2017 – Students from Vincent Massey Collegiate in Rosemount are kicking off 2017 by reaching out to neighbouring elementary students to develop, create and complete community action projects.
The students will facilitate activities and discussions with the younger children while motivating them to create a project on topics such as unity, inclusion, respect and kindness.
“On a weekly basis, the VMC students provide opportunities for the students to experience personal spiritual growth, facilitate social skill acquisition, cooperative learning, put virtues into action,” said Spiritual and Community Animator Rocco Speranza. “This project also helps the younger students improve their decision making skills as they are promoting the modelling of good citizenship.”
This project is a partnership between Vincent Massey Collegiate and B.A.S.E. Daycare Services with the cooperation of Adriana Greenblatt, Equitas, Jennifer de Freitas and Rocco Speranza.
