|EMSB TO HOLD PUBLIC SPEAKING CONTEST AT WESTMOUNT HIGH SCHOOL|
MONTREAL, APRIL 30, 2007- The annual English Montreal School Board (EMSB) Public Speaking Competition for Secondary I to V students will take place on Wed. May 2 at Westmount High School (4350 Ste. Catherine Street) from 9:45 a.m. to 2 p.m..
Some of the topics chosen by students include procrastination, adoption, animals and their rights, reasonable accommodation, child trafficking, public speaking, homelessness, mandatory military service, human rights and the right to privacy.
As in the past, the Rotary Club of Montreal has invited the Secondary V winner to participate in its event on May 15 at the St. James Club. Languages Consultant Stella Halaris will serve as the moderator and coordinator.
