MONTREAL,  MAY 1, 2009-    The English Montreal School Board has issued a directive to school administrators that any students who have most recently returned from Mexico remain at home for at least a week, in response to concerns over the HIN1 (swine) flu.

“We are doing this as a precautionary measure in order to ensure the health and safety of others students, staff and parents,” stated EMSB Chairman Angela Mancini.

Ms. Mancini said that anyone who has just returned from Mexico will be asked to stay home for seven days before returning to class.
