MONTREAL, DECEMBER 10, 2010 – Support staff from across the English Montreal School Board (EMSB) gathered recently to hear from two world renowned speakers at the annual Professional Development Day for Support Staff at Westmount High School.
On the agenda for the annual development conference were Christine Gagnon and Christine A. Simard. Ms. Gagnon, earned the first diploma ever awarded in synergology (nonverbal communications) and is the founder of one of the few existing synergology offering services to the business world, while Ms. Simard is one of the foremost experts in customer relations and management.
Ms. Gagnon wowed everyone in attendance with her mastery of analyzing and examining nonverbal communication and truly proved why she has spoken to groups and delivered seminars throughout the world. Through videos and pertinent, real world examples, she gave the audience a few tricks of the trade in order to understand nonverbal communication when amongst their peers.
Ms. Simard followed Ms. Gagnon and used her 25 years of professional experience to provide the necessary tools for the support staff to manage their stress level as well as properly deal with potentially difficult parents and students, in order to ensure that every conflict results in a peaceful and positive solution.
