MONTREAL, DECEMBER 16, 2010 Students from Lester B. Pearson High School in Montreal North are teaming up with their peers at École Secondaire Henri-Bourassa to spread holiday cheer this Friday, December 17 by handing out free cups of hot chocolate and coffee along with cookies and candy canes to the local community.

From 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.  and 3:30  p.m. to 5  p.m.  students from both schools will be stationed at the busy corners of Roland & Pascal, Henri Bourassa & Lacordaire and Maurice Duplessis & PM Favier in Montreal North, handing out their treats and spreading the message of “Peace, Love, Friendship and a smile” to all individuals who pass by.

The special project was the idea of both schools, following a long tradition of cooperation between the institutions. With the help of students, the local community and under the guise of Paul Karpontinis, Student Life Animator from Lester B. Pearson High School and Guy Maillé, Student Life Animator from École Secondaire Henri-Bourassa, the holiday season in Montreal North will undoubtedly begin on a special note.
