MONTREAL, SEPTEMBER 20, 2011 – For an estimated 6,000 high school students, Cap sur les Étoiles (The Star Odyssey) is set to provide them with a wild adventure that will open their eyes to the Final Frontier,
Running from January 27 to 29, 2012 at the Pierre-Charbonneau Centre (300 Rue Viau) in Montreal, the three day exhibition will provide students with an opportunity to learn about stars, meteorites and everything orbiting in between.
For students who might be interested in a career in the industry, various industry experts will also be present to display the tools currently used by astronauts and individuals on the ground and truly provide a sneak peek into the latest in aerospace technology,
Special presentations are set to include: an interactive workshop presented by Josée Péloquin, the Executive director of Cap Sur Les Étoiles highlighting jobs and careers in the Aerospace industry; a presentation by Caroline Boisvert, from the Communications and Recruitment Department of the “École polytechnique de Montréal” on the courses offered in aerospace engineering at École polytechnique; and various sessions organized by the Planetarium.
