The championship Montreal Impact soccer team officially launched Heart Week on Monday, February 14 at Royal Vale School in N.D.G. Head coach Nick DeSantis and captain Mauro Biello scrimmaged in the gymnasium before hundreds of students, all attired in red. This is the second year that the Montreal Children¹s Hospital Foundation of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) has teamed up with the EMSB to organize Heart Week. Royal Vale is one of many EMSB schools where students will be outfitted in red on a specific day this Also in attendance was Robert Baldwin Riding Liberal MNA Pierre Marsan (Parliamentary Secretary to Health Minister Phillippe Couilliard), Dr. Marie Beland from the Children¹s Hospital and Heart of Life Campaign Chairs Gary Silverman, Simone Leroux and Mario Bertrovato. Rob Martier, the play-by-play announcer for Impact games on CJAD radio, served as the master of ceremonies.
