EMSB Science Champion

Marymount Academy in N.D.G. had its best year at the Bell Regional Science Fair recently, gaining one honourable mention, three bronze, two silvers and one gold. In addition to capturing the gold medal, student Alexander Winkler-Schwartz received the McGill Faculty of Science Award, the McGill Psychology Award, the Marianopolis College Award, and the Bishop's University Division of Science Award. Alex was also chosen to advance for the second year in a row to go to the Provincial Science Fair which was held at the University of Sherbrooke, April 19-22 the lone EMSB student to do so. From there he was selected to go to the Canada-wide Science Fair May 12-20 in Truro, Nova Scotia and the MILSET International Science Fair in Durban, South Africa from July 8 to 14.
