On Wednesday May 14 more than 100 students at Lester B. Pearson High School launched their new book on environmental concerns. Joined by Justin Trudeau, the book's guest writer, the students read selections of poetry in response to global warming and Mother Nature's plight to an audience of 300 students, parents, faculty and administrators. The book is the third publication of Learning for a Cause, an award-winning non-profit initiative founded by Pearson teacher and poet Michael Sweet. Also of note in attendance were CTV Ottawa personality Dr. Max Keeping and Vermont Poet and Artist Sandra Erickson, both staunch supporters of Learning for a Cause and its projects."
