Black History Month at LMAC

Laurier Macdonald High School in St. Léonard marked Black History Month February 26 with a special ceremony, which included performances by the St. Monica Elementary School Steel Pan Band, the General Vanier Elementary School Choir, the Imani Church Choir and Kris Bennett’s Stomp Group. Spiritual Community Animator Vince Lacroce presented an energetic Black History Month video montage. CTV Montreal reporter Maya Johnson, community leader Richard LM Lord and Reverand Darryl Gray gave moving speeches. Mr. Lacroce and teachers Caterina Ruggeri and Iona Smith organized the event along with Laurier Macdonald staff. Students David Galio and Ross Wegscheider served as emcees.
