The Board's schools are organized into four administrative regions managed by Regional Directors.
The Regional Directors, as the Immediate Supervisors of the In-School Administrators, supervise the
implementation of the Education Act within the schools. As such, they are expected to provide an
efficient and knowledgeable liaison between the Board and the school community.
Mandate
The mandate of the Office of Regional Director is:
To ensure the understanding and implementation of all policies, procedures, and directives of the Board by the network of schools;
To reinforce the directives of the Services to Schools;
To provide feedback to Services on the needs of the network of schools, consistent with the mission of the Board;
To ensure that effective and equitable services are delivered to the students.
Deparmental Dossiers
The Regional Director is involved in the following dossiers:
School Success Plans,
Curriculum Reform,
Projects (Joining Forces, ICOR, Supporting Montreal Schools, ISPJ, Ecole Orientante),
Professional Development (Administrators),
Mentoring of In-School Administrators,
Student Enrolment, Staff Allocation, Research Committee, Outreach System, Social Affairs Schools, Financial Analysis and follow-up of school budgets.
Duties and Responsibilities

Liaison between Governing Boards and EMSB
Organization and Administration of the Regional Office
Participation in the evaluation of personnel
Participation in Board-level committees
Attendance at Board Meetings
Co-ordination of special dossiers
