Computer Studies

Students are provided with weekly Computer instruction. The aim of Computer Studies is to develop logical thinking and problem-solving skills. It’s to teach students how to use the computer as a tool. Computers in the classrooms will:

  • Allow the children to integrate the skills acquired in the laboratory into their daily curriculum.
  • Make available a learning environment in which the students feel secure in exploring their powers of thinking.
  • Provide experiences through which the students learn the skills needed to use the computer for communication, investigation, simulation and the development of problem-solving strategies.
  • Offer students with the skills to access the wealth of information available on the internet.
  • Have students learn keyboarding skills.
  • Computer Studies is taught by a computer instructor in Cycle I, II and III.
