Annual Senior Citizens Dinner Dance

The 10th Annual Seniors Citizens Dinner Dance at Laurier Macdonald took place on May 15th from 5 to 9 p.m. Secondary 4 and 5 students from Laurier Macdonald along with secondary 2 students from John Paul I High school acquired the help of our local community and organized a dinner dance for 2 local senior residences (Foyer Dante Seniors Home and Almage Seniors Centre) in the east end of Montreal.

The Seniors Night Dinner Dance is a non-profit intergenerational program that allows our secondary students the opportunity to reconnect with members of extended community.

The Seniors Night Dinner Dance has been a staple at Laurier Macdonald High School for 10 years. We have entertained, danced and ate with over 300 seniors and have had the honour of inviting of six (6) Canadian War Veterans from our East End Community. This project continues to be a great success and has allowed our students to create meaningful intergenerational relationships with our extended community. This project would not be possible without the help of our sponsors Salle De Réception Plaza Antique, Les Delices Lafrenaie, Patisserie De Bella, Laura Patisserie, Patisserie Italia, Pasta Doro, Fleuriste Carmine and St. Pius X Culinary Institute.
