Our Christmas Charitable Campaign runs from November 20th to December 15th. Donations will benefit CTV's Spirit of Giving, St-Brendan's Parish & St-Gabriel's Parish.

Vaccinations for TdaP and Men-C as well as any standard vaccines that students are missing will be offered to
Secondary 3 students on December 11th & 12, 2017
It is recommended to bring your vaccination record/booklet to school on that day so that the vaccinations administered can be entered into it. The health insurance card is not required.

We are excited to announce that our Student Council has designed the class of 2018 Grad Hoodies and we will be collecting orders on December 4th & 5that lunch. The black t-shirt and hoodie combo will be sold for $45 and you will also be able to add on a long-sleeved t-shirt if you would like.
The Grad Hoodie Committee members will be there to receive orders and for students to sign the back template (the “18”).
Students will be permitted to wear the grad hoodies/t-shirts/long-tees in class upon delivery in late January.

Wear your comfiest pajamas on Monday December 4th for 2$. Time to break out the onesies! All PJs must be appropriate for school. If you are not in PJs you can make the same donation and wear Jeans and a t-shirt. All money raised will benefit our local Christmas charities, your 2$ will make a big difference for someone in need.

The Ministère de l’Éducation, de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche is undertaking a pilot project
to formalize learning content related to sexuality education in elementary and secondary schools.
We are pleased to announce that our school is one of the schools chosen for the pilot project. Students
will receive from 5 to 15 hours of sexuality education every year.

We will be selling Dance tickets again all week at lunch in the plaza. Tickets will be sold 8$ each. Don’t pass up the
opportunity to make some memories with your friends from 7-11 pm on November 17th
Sounds and lights will be supplied by Remix Entertainment and there will be a free photobooth with props.
Drinks and snacks will be available for sale. All students are allowed to sponsor one visitor from another high school

Illusions Photography will be holding a session to take grad photos for students in secondary 5. There are a number of options to choose from to create a memorable souvenir that you and your families will cherish for years to come.
As a part of graducation traditions, Jostens will be at Lester B Pearson for three days to take orders for graduation rings. Please look over the catalogue for prices and sizes. The company will be on site November 8th, 9th and 13th.

open to students in secondary 1 through 5 beginning in the 2018-19 school year.

Placement exams for advanced courses in Honours Mathematics, Français Langue Maternelle, Enriched English and Sport-études will take place at Lester B. Pearson High School on November 6th. Registrations can still be made at the main office during opening hours.
Y2T is a two-day conference in which over 200 students are expected to participate as they get hands-on experience with
new technologies in workshops such as how to build a chatbot, a programming language, Design Thinking, and much more.

The OPUS Tour will be stopping by LBPHS on Friday, September 22nd from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Each year, you must renew your photo OPUS card to pay the reduced fare for students when riding the bus and métro. LBP will be visited by the Opus photographers on September 22nd 2017.

Attention LBP artists, our final coffee house of the year will be taking place on Thursday May 17th. Come showcase your talent in a supportive and low key environment. You can sign up to perform or come and watch the show all through next week in the plaza.
Anyone wishing to apply for student council both new and returning members can pick up application packages in the student council room or at the main office.
The deadline to apply is May 7th. You could be the next school president, vice president or member at large.

On Friday, May 4, 2018, our students will be participating in our annual Terry Fox Walk-a-thon in keeping Terry’s dream of hope alive!
This event has been a tradition at LBP for the past 38 years and we take pride in having raised over 500 000$ thanks to your support and generosity.
Remember that May 4th is a regular school day and all students are expected to be present in school.

In the wake of the tragic crash that occurred this past weekend in Saskatchewan involving the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team, Lester B. Pearson High School is encouraging students, faculty and staff to join a cross-Canada initiative by wearing a sports jersey to school on Thursday, April 12 in return for a 2$ donation in support of their families.
Participation is optional, but if you choose to take part you must pay 2$, school pants are mandatory as always.
A month has passed since the attack on Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and the movement for change initiated by students keeps gaining ground. A march of support has been organized by Lexington Vickery, an EMSB elementary school student.
The walk will take place on Saturday, March 24th at 10:0 a.m. Walkers will assemble in the south-west corner of Westmount Park at Avenue Lansdowne and Boulevard De Maisonneuve at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 24th. The walk will commence at 10:30 a.m. The route will proceed through the park, past Westmount Park Elementary school, east on rue Sainte-Catherine, past Westmount High School to Avenue Atwater, north on Avenue Atwater, west on Boulevard De Maisonneuve and finally into Dawson College.
The route was worked out in conjunction with the Station 12 commander and Westmount Public Security and they will both be escorting the march and closing roads during the march.
Parking near the assembly area is very limited so public transit is recommended.
The 90 and 63 buses stop less than a 2-minute walk away at rue Sainte-Catherine and Avenue Lansdowne.
The 24, 104 and 138 buses stop 2-minute walk away at rue Sherbrooke and Avenue Lansdowne.
The Vendome metro is a 10-minute walk along Boulevard De Maisonneuve.
Dawson is connected to the Atwater metro.

Due to inclement weather forecasted, Winter Carnival has been postponed to March 14, 2018 (weather and conditions permitting). Tuesday will be a regular Day 9.
During our Ped Day on February 23rd, 2018, the Canadian Red Cross will be offering a Babysitting Course at Lester B.
Pearson High School that is designed to teach students the business of babysitting, how to handle themselves in an
interview, know if the job is right for them and how to care for infants up to school aged children (and/or brothers and
sisters). The course will be given by Ms. Chiara Calabrese, Certified Facilitator Canadian Red Cross.
We are very proud to introduce our community to the new face of Lester B. Pearson, our Pearson Pride!
Once a month we will be holding School Spirit Days where you will be able to wear your school-bought spirit wear or any other “Pearson” branded club or team shirts. Ex: Variety Show Tees, Soccer Uniform Shirts, Student Council Tees, Cheerleading Tees etc…
The first Pearson Pride Day will be held on February 22nd.

Carnival Day will be held on February 20, 2018. The activities are: skiing, snowboarding, tubing, skating, escape room and mini putt. Please keep in mind that the activities have limited space so it is important to respect the due date. Payments will be collected the week of January 24-26. Please do not wait until the last minute.

Mid-Year Exam Schedule - January 2018
We want to take this opportunity to welcome Ms. Canale to Lester B. Pearson High School and we look forward to working together as a team. Ms. Canale will be replacing Ms. Triestino on an interim basis and she will be working with our juniors.

On Wednesday, September 20th, Wednesday September 20th is curriculum night at LBPHS, meet your child’s teachers and participate in our annual general assembly of parents. 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m at Lester B. Pearson for all parents/guardians.
The Graduation Ceremony for the class of 2017, will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017, at the Theatre de la Ville (180 rue de Gentilly, Longueuil) at 7 P.M. In order to prepare for the ceremony all students are obliged to attend the rehearsal beginning at 1:15 P.M.
