Merton Music Program

Funding from Home and School has made it possible to make music a priority at Merton. All students from Kindergarten to Cycle 3 participate in the program. The students acquire a variety of skills including music theory, singing, dancing, and instrumental training culminating in yearly concerts. Starting in Grade 3, all students learn to play the recorder.

The salary of the music teacher is funded through the Merton Home and School Association which has made the music program a priority at Merton for many years.

Since this program is a compulsory part of the Merton curriculum all parents must pay the academic enrichment fee.
