Life as a student at Merton is full of opportunities to learn and play! There is always a new adventure waiting just around the corner.

Here you will find out all you need to know about our achievements, social and community programs, events and news from the Merton community.

  • Halo Road Race 2017: The weather was perfect for the final race attended by Mr. Molo. A big thank you to the teachers who attended with this year's participants in the event. Simon came in 9th in his division. Click here to see the children in action.
  • Quebec RoboCup 2017: Merton participated in the competition this year with thirty-two students; nine teams. We won first and second place in the Soccer competition and 2nd place went to The Lorax team in the Onstage competition. While it is great to walk away with a prize, the greatest prize is the teamwork and life skills the children develop during this event.
  • Wonder Robotics Competition: Congratulations to Mme Nathalie and the children of salle 4 who participated in December for the first time in this online competition. All of the teams (five in all) completed the initial challenges with one of her team's going on to the final round for perfect score!

  • Halo Road Race 2016: Congratulations to Mr. Molo and all the children who participated in this year's event. Hats off to Dylan who came in 10th overall! The children had fun and take away great memories of the day.
  • Quebec RoboCup 2016: Congratulations to all the students (twenty-five this year) who participated in this year’s competitions. Your work was wonderful and we are proud of every single one of you. Merton was the top elementary school winning gold in Onstage Dance, silver and bronze medals in Triathlon, bronze in Soccer for the Hat Tricks, and Michael Ciocca and his teammate from Edinburgh came in first place in the Mystery Challenge. Royal West won the cup. It was wonderful to see so many former Merton students on their team. Thank you, Debbie Adams, for your extraordinary leadership and dedication, not only in this project, but for the work you do every day. Thank you to all the parents who helped and came to support the students.
  • Jr. FLL Expositon 2016: This year, Mme Nathalie's grade 1 and 2 students work together to complete the Waste Wise challenge hosted by the Junior First Lego League at Stade Uniprix on April 1st. Each team took turns presenting their project to interested spectators, as well as the judges.
