The Principal's message Why I love Merton! Imagine a school where each child is known by teachers, administration and parent volunteers. Imagine a school where teachers are dedicated, caring and innovative. Imagine a school where parents are actively involved in the welfare of the school. No need to imagine because Merton School has all of this and more! It is my privilege to be the principal of this wonderful school where the emotional and academic development of each student is our raison d’être. Child-centred learning is our focus. An unhappy child cannot learn. It is therefore imperative that teachers get to know the student’s emotional needs. Dealing with the whole child is the key to successful teaching and ultimately learning. A warm and nurturing environment helps each student develop his/her potential.
