Educational Policies, Standards & Procedures
Standards and Procedures are official documents pertaining to the evaluation of student learning. They provide a summary of the evaluation criteria for each subject, and the period during which exams are scheduled.

About Us
Programme Mile End offers a fresh start for students, and a chance for them to discover who they are, where
they want to go, and the belief that they can get there. Our school offers a variety of ways for secondary
IV and V students to find their confidence and reengage academically. Our team encourages a supportive,
community-like learning environment to ensure that our students are successful in obtaining a Secondary
School Diploma.
Our hope is that our students graduate with the ambition to study at the CEGEP level or to pursue vocational training. We offer courses contained in the Quebec Education Program, in an environment that is safe, nurtur-ing and promotes mutual respect between all members of the school community.
Our Educational Framework
Our teaching methods are adapted to each individual student, and our small classes allow us to get to know every student and keep them focused on their respective goals. In everything we do, we strive to appeal to the specific needs and interests of all of our students, as their motivation to succeed remains our priority. Our staff is determined to support our students in all aspects of life, and are willing to go the extra mile to try out differ-ent methods in order to determine the one that best suits their needs.
Students in Programme Mile End use technology as a learning tool, as all students have access to Google
Chrome-books, as well as Google Classroom. These tools introduce students to the skills that they will use
in their future jobs, seeing as computer-based skills have become a prominent component in today’s
workforce. Furthermore, the integration of Google Classroom allows students to remain on top of their work,
as they can access their work wherever they may be.
School Highlights
● We offer complementary courses such as; Art, Media, Cooking and Yoga, to name a few.
● Our school year begins with an overnight trip to the Laurentians, giving students a chance to build an
attachment to the school, and to each other, so they are eager to learn.
● We offer an annual ski trip, where students and staff are invited to hit the slopes together.
