About us

Welcome to Parkdale Elementary, a diverse community based school. We strive to provide an environment in which all children can develop to their fullest potential by offering a wide range of educational experiences. We encourage personal growth through intellectual, emotional, physical and social stimulus. Our staff is dedicated in helping our students succeed in their educational endeavors. We discourage 'deficit thinking' and believe that every child has a chance to succeed in school.

Our Aim

We aim to provide a safe environment that encourages learning, inclusiveness, caring and respect. We recognize individual and collective success, and foster pride and loyalty for each other, our school, and our community. Our children and staff are culturally sensitive to many different customs and traditions that our school population offers. There is no prejudice or discrimination at Parkdale because our community environment is a stable canvas of multiculturalism.

Parkdale is an English Core school and offers 90 minutes of French a day for our students. Our aim is to promote literacy and to ensure competency in both French and English.
