Olympic Flame

The French Second Language teachers, Mme Kanellopoulos, Mr. Summers and Mme Catherine, are starting a project this year on multiculturalism and will be incorporating the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. They decided to start this project by having their students participate in a real once in a lifetime experience. On Thursday, December 10th, students were bused to see the Olympic Flame as it entered the city of Laval. Among the celebration's planned activities were a choir and musical performances. Olympians were also in attendance. This experience helped give our students a better understanding and a greater sense of the "community" theme.
