Children love texts with repetitive texts, especially at the kindergarten level. After having shared several lovable stories with my class we decided to publish our class version of the classic "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?" by Eric Carle. Instead of the conventional paper and pencil route we decided to create our very own version using a slide show on Kid Pix Deluxe.

As a class, we brainstormed and compiled a list of different animals. Each child had the opportunity to draw their individual slides and once completed they proceeded to record their voices in pairs of 2. Also, each child participated in developing the introduction as well as the finale. The text was typed in for the children. However, each student was responsible for typing in their own names.

TIP: Choose a large font size when working in KidPix. When it is saved for the web the image is significantly smaller than the origianl KidPix picture. So - the bigger the font the better!
