After carefully reading the Gazette newspaper in groups, the grade six students of St. Edmund school took part in a competition sponsored by the Montreal Gazette. Students were placed in groups of four and were given a test with questions which were based on what they had read in the Gazette that week.
All in all, the students thought the test was not too hard, but not easy. The students who participated received prizes in the mail. Depending on the score, teams received T-shirts, clipboards, pens, bookmarks and gift certificates for a Harvey's hamburger. The better the score the better the prize.
We all enjoyed the challenge and appreciated the prizes!
