Term 1 Startup  
All students have the class procedures explained and reviewed.
All studnts practice the fire drill.
All students are given an activity book.
All students are assigned their work station computers.
All students have their pictures taken for in school security only.

Classwork so Far

Each student will create a map
 8 1/2 "  x 11" Letter size on plain white paper (Not ruled)
(HOMEWORK-Assigned Wed., Sep 16, 2009)
(Not to scale) of their immediate home environment. (their house and at least their street).
Map will be on letter paper in landscape format. (No ruled paper)
Map will be in plan view and using colours.
Map will have Title (and subtitle if necessay).
Map will have North indicator,
Map will have a legend explaining any symbols and colours.
 Authors name and date of publication.

Each Group will create a Poster
(Classwork and Homework- Assigned Wed., Sep. 16, 2009)
The theme of the Poster is sedentarization
Staying in one place means infrastructure
Each team will first brainstorm the areas of sedentarization and what makes up the main areas.
Main Areas: Homes - Houses- Apartment buildings, Food, Clothing, Entertainment, Civic buildings-areas,
etc.
