Children on the floor playing

“Open the heavy oak doors and suddenly you’re tiptoeing up the stairs. Down the corridor, the 20-foot tall ceilings arch over polished wide-panel flooring, reflecting the grandness of 100 years of student life, laughter and learning.”

Ursula Jugel, Parent of a former Roslyn Student

Welcome to the 2015-2016 School Year!

Dear Parents,

Welcome to Roslyn School’s Website, a window into our school life. We are delighted to introduce you to the services and programs we offer. We trust you will find that we are well equipped to serve your child and support your family through the wonderful years of elementary school.

This website will help you get to know us better, and will be a valuable resource to you throughout your child’s time with us. Please visit it regularly. Should you require any further information, you can always easily contact us by phone or email at the school.

We are particularly excited about the 2015-2016 academic year as we intend to build upon the success of 2014-2015! Our school continued its steady tradition of academic excellence and focused upon numerous ventures including our enrichment programs, extracurricular activities, choir project, local on-line history initiative, holiday show, as well as anti-bullying and aboriginal programming, among others. Of course, our school’s parents and local community continue to play an integral role at Roslyn and we enjoy a wonderful partnership with our Governing Board, Home and School Association and the Roslyn School Foundation. While the programs mentioned will continue to grow, we are constantly seeking new and innovative ways to enrich our children’s educational experience. In addition, we have also undertaken a series of major renovations that will improve our historic building, including a schoolyard beautification project that will begin this fall.

Please remember that at Roslyn School, “Open House” is every day. We strive to build a solid and friendly partnership between home and school to ensure your child is fully supported and free to grow in a safe and embracing community. Our doors are always open to you, your concerns are ours, and you will always find an attentive ear and a helping hand among us.

We are very proud of our school, our staff, and especially our students. We hope you will find our website informative – please let us know if there is anything we can do to enhance it!
