Choosing a school for your child is not an easy decision. You want a safe, secure and challenging environment and you want that environment to be supportive when facing difficulties. We strongly believe that Royal Vale offers that type of environment. We aim at delivering to our students the best education possible in a safe and nurturing environment. We are always looking for ways to support the teachers and improve our practices, and we do! Each year seems better than the previous one. Our mission is to listen, get inspired, take action and make it better year after year.
Students receive at Royal Vale a high quality education. Our students obtain good results at the Elementary and High School levels on Ministry and School Board exams and our overall ranking improves year after year on Uniform Ministry Exams. We are certainly proud that over 95% of our students do graduate after Grade 11.
In addition to a high quality education, we have exceptional facilities. We are extremely pleased that over $700 000 has been invested recently into the building. From new windows to freshly painted library, hallways, stairwells, auditorium, fitness room, a new climbing wall, and much much more, the school looks attractive.
We have good results, we have a fantastic school and we want to make it even better. For the 2016-2017 school year, we are launching new programs at the High School level: Français Flex (30% French program), Français immersion (70% French program), Sports, Music and Drama Concentrations. For the 2017-2018 school year, we will be offering an Arts path in addition to the current Science path to our Grade 10 and 11 students. In addition, an innovative Hockey Elite Program in partnership with Rapid Hockey School and a new competitive fencing club are available for all those interested. These different programs will accommodate our current students and the growing number of International students that we welcome every year by offering everyone more options. All of the new programs will be delivered by our dedicated faculty.
These improvements, initiatives and accomplishments were made possible by first defining a vision that was shaped by the feedback of many people including students, parents, Royal Vale staff, our Governing Board members, our Home and School Association, our Commissioner, our EMSB Deputy Director General and even prospective parents. I extent my sincerest wishes for continued success.
