WELCOME TO SS2 CLASSROOMSecond Start 2 is a place where even the most troubled of children can receive support. Mr. Robert provides an eclectic academic environment for his students while a Child Care Worker concentrates on reforming their hearts. Mr. Robert believes that learning comes in many forms. His charges benefit from hands-on learning that range from computer assisted learning to group games drawn up on the classroom floor. Assessment is done through pencil and paper tests and daily, verbal demonstrations of logical thinking. If an environment is made to be engaging and the relationship with the students is there, the children will try their best for their teacher until they learn to do it for themselves. The Child Care Worker handles their social and emotional well-being. She doles out tough love and is always optimistic that the children can rise to her high expectations of them. She feeds their heads, hearts and souls with words of kindness and wisdom from her years of experience and they treat her as a friend and mother. She encourages the children to be greater than they are at this point in their lives. Second Start 2 is a classroom run on teamwork and high expectations.
