Friends Across the World

“Friends Across the World is a group of students who help raise money for our foster child, Maria-Isabel.” Ms Cherry explains. When Ms Cherry was in grade 6, she was bullied, therefore she feels passionate about helping others. She hopes that our group can provide food, water and shelter for the less fortunate children. “All money raised goes to Willingdon’s foster child and to a group with a lady named Stephanie Dotto who is involved with Health Partners International.” Miss Cherry says. Stephanie is a 22 year old Concordia student who has already been to Africa four times. She has built two schools, two medical clinics and has sent over four containers as big as our classroom full of clothes, shoes and computers. She will visit our school after the holidays. Wonder what you can do at home to help the less fortunate? You can work at a homeless shelters part time, you can donate money and food to the NDG food bank and other charities. You can help Support Maria Isabel, or you can get a foster child of your own. Ms Cherry invites the Grade 4, 5 and 6 to be members of Friends Across the World.
