Imovie Festival

On Wednesday, April 15th, 2009, Ali Byers, Shannon Jones-Golanski and Kate Soar along with Ms Lucy attended an imovie Festival at Dunrae Gardens. The IMovie Festival is a chance for students at different schools to showcase their movies that they have created. The movies were made by students in Cycles 2 & 3 along with some help from their teachers. Some of the movies were made by children in groups of many sizes. The movie topics ranged from creative scripts to important issues such as bullying. Willingdon’s movie submission was a news broadcast on the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. The participants will be getting a certificate to acknowledge all of their hard work. After the viewing, participants were treated to refreshments and great snacks. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience.
