Salle 29
Barbara Weiss

Welcome to Mrs. Weiss' class. We'll be doing projects on Leonardo da Vinci and other famous people. We'll do oral presentions and public speaking, research projects, poetry, journals, vocabulary development, many kinds of creative writing and literary analysis. Ms. Weiss will be reading Dibs: In Search of Self to the class and the pupils will read many books on their own. Mostly, we'll have a good time while we learn.
What's new this year? In the past, when Mrs. Weiss' pupils finished their assignments early, they could read, do homework, work on upcoming projects, and/or solve some posers or puzzles. In addition, there were a number of interesting educational tasks that were found in various places around the classroom. Now, all this material is located in one place, in the "Choose Your Challenge" corner.
There, students can find:
- Sudoku and other math puzzles;
- crossword puzzles;
- dozens of extra writing topics, story starters, and exciting suggestions for research and projects
- hundreds of engrossing math cards to choose from,
- programmed learning sets with titles like: "Properties of our Number System", "Sets in Geometry", "Modular Arithmetic", "Other Bases", "Thinking About Probabilty", etc.
Our "Choose Your Challenge" corner is the place to learn and have fun. Check it out!
